As a lover of quaint villages and beautiful countryside, Mews Cottage in Middleton-in-Teesdale was the perfect retreat for me. the cottage, which used to be stabling for horses traveling from Alston, is nestled in the old mews courtyard of the Teesdale Hotel, adding to its charm and history. The location, within the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, provided stunning scenery and endless walking opportunities right on our doorstep. We were able to park our car and enjoy the nearby pubs, cafes, and shops without needing it for days. The cottage itself was cozy and well-appointed, with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge, and three lovely bedrooms. the thoughtful touches, like a homemade cake waiting for us and a furnished terrace to enjoy the sunshine, made our stay even more delightful. the grocery shopping service, free parking, and complimentary wifi were added conveniences that made our stay stress-free and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway in the North Pennines.
